For the first time ever, all Film Festival Passholders will have the exclusive opportunity to sign up for unique tours of the beautiful wineries and historic vineyards of the Sonoma Valley.  These very special trips, custom-designed by participating wineries, will feature unique personal time with star winemakers and legendary growers, rare wine tastings, barrel samplings and personal, behind-the-scenes tours at some of the greatest wineries in the world.  

These unique, limited excursions are available to all Film Festival Passholders, on a space available basis.  To reserve your place or for more information, please call the wineries at the telephone numbers listed below:

Barrel Tasting, Tour and Lunch with the Winemaker at Buena Vista Winery Enjoy a private tour of California’s Oldest Premium Winery and a preview of the 2005 vintage with a sample direct from the barrel. Exclusively for Film Festival attendees, Jeff Stewart, our award-winning winemaker, and Jaeson Mackura, our Associate Winemaker, will bring a barrel to our historic tasting room and guide you through the tasting.  You’ll also sample new releases from our Carneros Estate and our gold medal Pinot Noir while enjoying a casual wine country lunch.  Seating is limited to 30 people.  Please call 707-265-1460 to reserve your space by April 4 for this event held on Thursday, April 6 at 11:00 am.  Cost is $30 per person.

Heritage Tour at Buena Vista Winery Enjoy a glimpse into our history, a lively discussion of our winegrowing and winemaking practices, concluded with a guided sensory evaluation of our wines paired with food samples.  Seating is limited to 30 people. Close Up in the VineyardRavenswood vines are always ready for their close up. Join Ravenswood's talented vineyard guides for a behind-the-scenes look at the vineyards that make our wines great. Like great supporting actors, soil, sun and slant help Ravenswood wines steal the spotlight -- and bring home the big awards. Ravenswood Winery Presents.....  Star-studded blending at Ravenswood  Brangelina. Bennifer (2). TomKat -- All examples of stellar components blending together to make a finished product. At Ravenswood, we can teach you how to make your own star blend to take home to wow your hometown audience. You can even give it one of those oh-so-trendy blended names. (Zintina...Zinjoe... Come on Safari at Nicholson Ranch and explore the thrills of the vineyard, the delight of the "swirl and sip" and possibly even get up close and personal with Aslan, the lion that guards the hillside above the vineyards.  If the group is willing, perhaps a quick hike to the historic chapel on the hill can be added in as well.  Wear your hat and hiking shoes for this adventure that will surely delight! Are you ready for the catwalk? Tin Barn Vineyards welcomes attendees to the 2006 Sonoma Valley Film Festival to our newly opened winery facility in Sonoma. You will share an up-close and personal look at small-lot winemaking with winemaker and owner Michael Lancaster.  Mike will tour you through our state of the art winemaking warehouse where you can walk above the huge stainless tanks and sample wines right out of barrel.  Relax in our tin covered tasting room while you sample our zinfandel, syrah, sauvignon blanc and cabernet sauvignon.  Tin Barn is not open to the public the rest of the year, so this is a great  opportunity to visit, talk with the winemaker and taste our wines. This fun event includes a tasty box lunch, a personalized wine tasting & vineyard tour as we drive you through our estate to soak up the beauty of this great valley. Have you ever wanted to be a winemaker for a day? Join us at Chateau St.Jean for a fun and completely unique wine country experience.  Our Cinq Cepages Cabernet is counted among the world's most famous Bordeaux Blends, and for one day only, you will have a chance to actually blend your own version of this wine with the assistance of one of our Wine Experts.  Afterward you will compete for the best blend of the day! Meet legendary winemaker Walter Schug and sample rare reserve wines paired with food in the caves of Schug Carneros Estate Winery. Walter Schug, former winemaker for Joseph Phelps Vineyards and California wine pioneer will pour select vintages while winery chef Kristine Schug provides gourmet appetizers Cost is $20 per person and is available for up to 25 people on Thursday, April 6 @ 11:00 AM. Champagne, Pinot, and Garden Tour at Robert Hunter Winery Off the beaten track, you will discover Robert Hunter Winery and its award winning wines.  Robert Hunter Winery is known for its Champagne (methode champenoise), Estate Pinot Noir, and rare garden setting.  We are offering a special champagne and garden tour in conjunction with the Sonoma Film Festival.  One tour starting promptly at 11:00 am and one at 2:00 pm.  This is by appointment only and limited to the first 20 people per tour.  The special tour price is $15.  Please call (707) 996-3056 to schedule your appointment.

Sonoma Valley Film festival patrons are invited to experience the “Delicious Thrill of Discovery” at Imagery Estate Winery.   The Benziger family hand crafts wines made from unique varietals.  Each of these limited production wines is paired with artwork selected by curator Bob Nugent which he commissions from among the world's most notable contemporary artists.
