The
Lounge
has
always
been
one
of
the
most
distinctive
venues
at
the
Sonoma
Valley
Film
Festival,
and
this
year
is
no
exception.
Thanks
to
the
generous
sponsorship
of
Ravenswood,
the
Lounge
is
undergoing
a
make-over.
The
"Ravenswood
Red
Lounge"
debuts
this
year
as
a
Speak-Easy,
with
cabaret
style
seating,
great
food
and
drinks,
and
cool
cinematic
content.
In
short,
the
hippest,
coolest
club
in
town.
The
films
screened
here
will
all
be
the
same
kinds
of
truly
"independent"
films
you’ve
come
to
expect
from
the
Lounge
line-up:
a
combination
of
narrative
features,
as
well
as
topical
and
edgy
documentaries
from
beyond
the
cutting
edge.
The
Ravenswood
Red
Lounge
kicks
off
Thursday
night
with
an
extra
special
evening
of
film
and
live
entertainment.
First,
at
6:30
p.m.
we’ll
present
the
West
Coast
Premiere
of
Starbucking,
a
film
about
the
fanatic
with
a
mission
to
visit
every
Starbucks
in
the
World.
He’s
been
to
Sonoma
before--to
visit
our
local
Starbucks
of
course--but
he’ll
be
here
in
person
to
share
his
highly-caffeinated
insights
into
all
things,
from
theories
about
Lost,
to
his
obsession
with
Scrabble.
At
9:00
p.m.
we’ll
present
the
World
Premiere
of
Zalman
King’s
Dance
with
the
Devil,
a
live
concert
film
of
the
Toledo
Show,
a
jazz
fusion
cabaret
show
that
must
be
seen
to
be
believed.
The
film
will
be
followed
by
a
live
performance
by
Toledo
and
his
band
of
dancers
and
back-up
musicians.
This
promises
to
be
a
one-of-a-kind
experience--
and
it
is
NOT
TO
BE
MISSED!
You
must
have
a
ticket
to
Dance
with
the
Devil
to
see
the
Toledo
Show
performance.
On
Sunday
at
1:00
p.m,
the
Ravenswood
Red
Lounge
will
host
a
conversation
with
all
the
Lounge
filmmakers
called
"Loungin’".
Hot
topics
will
include
the
limits
of
free
speech
and
what
defines
"Independent."
Our
lounge
filmmakers
have
dedicated
themselves
to
sharing
with
us
their
unique
vision.
Join
us!
Note:
The
Ravenswood
Red
Lounge
operates
as
an
"R-Rated"
venue.
Anyone
under
the
age
of
17
must
be
accompanied
by
an
adult.
As
with
all
of
our
festival
venues
and
events,
anyone
under
21
will
be
identified
as
a
Minor
and
will
not
be
served
alcohol.
