Volunteering
brings
people
together,
breaks
down
social
barriers
of all
kinds, and
makes
wonderful
things
happen,
whether
we're
talking
about
putting on
a first
class film
festival
or
responding
to a
natural
disaster.
It
takes
nearly 300
volunteers
to produce
The Sonoma
Valley
Film
Festival.
Volunteers
do
everything
from
staffing
the
Welcome
and VIP
Hospitality
centers;
to working
the
theatres,
panels,
and
special
event
venues; to
picking up
and
delivering
visiting
filmmakers
to where
they need
to be
(when they
need to be
there!!);
to
providing
needed
professional
services
to our
organization,
such as
legal,
accounting,
web
services,
graphic
design,
film &
video
services,
etc.

We throw a
big
volunteer
organizational
party
before the
festival,
and
celebrate
with a big
thank you
evening
(including
screening
festival
favorites)
on the
Monday
night
after the
festival
at the
Sebastiani
Theatre.
